Steve Graybill and two friends set out to kayak down a little-known creek in West Virginia called Moore Run. It would be cold and dangerous, and the creek and its wild environs would teach him a few unforgettable lessons about survival.

Matt Grove and his friend Nate thought they were totally prepared for an all-day adventure race. It should have been a fun challenge, but Matt spent the day in agony due to one crucial error.
